How to Use and Recharge Your Alibarbar Vape: Complete Beginner’s Guide
How to Use Alibarbar Vape | Beginner’s Guide + Recharging Tips
Whether you have just unboxed your first Alibarbar or you are switching from a different brand, this guide covers everything you need to know to get the most from your device. From the first puff to the last, from draw technique to troubleshooting.
Getting Started: Your First Alibarbar
Step 1: Unbox and inspect
Remove the device from its packaging. Every Alibarbar comes sealed in a protective wrapper. Check for any visible damage, ensure the mouthpiece cover is intact, and locate the scratch-off security code on the packaging.
Step 2: Verify authenticity
Before using the device, scratch off the security panel and verify the code on the official Alibarbar verification portal. This takes 30 seconds and confirms your device is genuine. For a detailed guide on spotting fakes, read our Authentication Guide.
Step 3: Remove the mouthpiece cover
Pull off the silicone or plastic mouthpiece cover. Some models have a small sticker seal over the mouthpiece — remove this as well.
Step 4: Inhale
That is it. Alibarbar devices are draw-activated — there are no buttons to press, no settings to configure, no power-on sequence. Simply bring the mouthpiece to your lips and inhale. The device activates automatically and the LED display illuminates to show your battery and e-liquid levels.
Draw Technique: Getting the Best Experience
The way you inhale significantly affects flavour quality, vapour production, throat hit, and device longevity.
Mouth-to-lung (MTL) — Recommended for most users
This is the natural technique and the one Alibarbar devices are optimised for:
1. Draw vapour into your mouth (like sipping through a straw) for 2–3 seconds
2. Hold briefly in your mouth
3. Inhale into your lungs
4. Exhale
MTL mimics the drawing action of a traditional cigarette and delivers a satisfying throat hit with concentrated flavour. The nicotine absorption is efficient and the vapour production is moderate — enough to be satisfying without creating enormous clouds.
Direct-to-lung (DTL) — For experienced vapers
Some vapers prefer inhaling directly into the lungs without the mouth-hold step. This produces more vapour and a slightly different flavour character but consumes e-liquid faster and reduces total device lifespan. The Alibarbar’s draw resistance is designed for MTL, so DTL draws require harder pulls.
Our recommendation: Start with MTL. It is how the device is designed to perform, and it maximises both flavour and longevity.
Understanding the LED Display
Alibarbar Ingot 9000: The LED display shows two metrics: - Battery level — Displayed as a percentage. Starts at 100% and decreases with use. - E-liquid level — Displayed as a percentage. Decreases as you vape.
The display activates with each puff and dims after approximately 3 seconds of inactivity.
Alibarbar Ice Adjust 12000: The LCD display shows three metrics: - Battery level — Percentage - E-liquid level — Percentage - Ice level — Current setting (0, 1, 2, or 3)
How to Recharge the Alibarbar Ice Adjust 12000
The Ice Adjust 12000 is the rechargeable model in the Alibarbar lineup. The Ingot 9000, Rich 8000, and Pandora 7000 are not rechargeable.
Recharging steps:
1. Locate the Type-C charging port on the bottom of the device
2. Connect a standard USB Type-C cable (not included — any Type-C cable works)
3. Plug the other end into a USB power source (wall adapter, laptop, power bank)
4. The LCD display will show a charging animation or the battery percentage increasing
5. A full charge from empty takes approximately 45 minutes
6. Disconnect when fully charged
Charging tips:
· Use a standard 5V/1A or 5V/2A adapter. Do not use fast-charging adapters rated above 5V — higher voltages can damage the battery.
· Do not vape while charging. While some devices allow pass-through charging, it is best practice to wait until charging is complete for battery health and safety.
· Do not leave unattended while charging. As with any lithium-ion device, monitor charging and disconnect when complete.
· Charge before the battery hits 0%. Lithium-ion batteries perform best when recharged before complete depletion. When the display shows 10–15%, it is time to charge.
How to Adjust Ice Levels (Ice Adjust 12000 Only)
The Ice Adjust 12000 features a physical adjustment dial on the side of the device:
|
Setting |
Effect |
Best For |
|
Level 0 |
No cooling — pure flavour |
Tasting the full flavour profile without menthol; evening vaping; vapers who dislike ice |
|
Level 1 |
Subtle cool finish |
A gentle refreshment; all-day setting for most users |
|
Level 2 |
Moderate menthol |
Balanced cooling and flavour; warm weather vaping |
|
Level 3 |
Maximum freeze |
Intense menthol blast; palate cleansing; hot days; menthol enthusiasts |
The dial clicks into position at each level and the LCD display updates to show your current setting. You can change the ice level at any time, even mid-session.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Device does not produce vapour when I draw
· Ensure the mouthpiece cover and any sealing stickers have been removed
· Try a slightly stronger draw — the first activation sometimes requires a bit more airflow to trigger the sensor
· Check the LED display — if it does not activate, the battery may be depleted (for non-rechargeable models, this means the device is finished)
· For the Ice Adjust 12000, check the battery level and recharge if needed
Flavour tastes burnt or off
· Check the e-liquid level on the display. Below 5% can cause dry hits as the wick runs low
· If the device is new and tastes burnt from the first puff, it may be defective or counterfeit. Verify the authentication code
· Allow 10–15 seconds between puffs to let the wick re-saturate
Vapour production has decreased
· Battery may be running low (check display)
· E-liquid may be near depletion
· If the device is cold (below 10°C), warm it in your hands for a minute — cold batteries deliver less power
Device is leaking
· Store upright with the mouthpiece facing up
· Do not blow into the mouthpiece — always inhale
· Avoid extreme heat (above 40°C), which thins the e-liquid and causes leaking
· If persistent leaking occurs from a new device, it may be defective — contact us for a replacement
LED display is flickering or showing incorrect readings
· A brief flicker on activation is normal
· If the display shows inconsistent readings or does not match actual performance, the device may be counterfeit. Verify the authentication code

FAQ
Do I need to charge the Alibarbar Ingot 9000?
No. The Ingot 9000 is a non-rechargeable device. The 2,350 mAh battery is designed to last the full lifespan of the 22 mL e-liquid tank.
What type of charger does the Alibarbar Ice Adjust 12000 use?
Standard USB Type-C. Any Type-C cable will work. Use a 5V adapter — do not use high-voltage fast chargers.
How do I know when my Alibarbar is finished?
The LED/LCD display shows battery and e-liquid percentages. When either reaches 0%, the device is depleted. You may also notice significantly reduced flavour or vapour production.
Can I refill an Alibarbar vape?
No. All Alibarbar devices are pre-filled and sealed. Attempting to open or refill the device will damage it and may create safety hazards.
How should I dispose of my Alibarbar when it is finished?
Take it to a battery recycling collection point. Most Australian councils offer battery recycling services. Do not throw disposable vapes in general household waste or recycling bins.
